A Land, aussi bien journal intime que carnet de route, carnet d'exploration qu'album photo.
A Land, un voyage poétique, un voyage d'images, un voyage dans les images, un voyage dans l'assemblage des images elles-mêmes.
Où l'intime côtoie le réel, le très proche côtoie le lointain, le connu se mêle à l'inconnu.
A Land, une série qui relate ma recherche d'un lieu acceptable, d'un endroit de vie, d'un endroit que je reconnaîtrais comme mien. D'un pays fantasmé, d'un lieu idéal, de mon lieu idéal.
Un ensemble de micro-fictions, bouts de puzzles éparses pour reconstituer une carte géographique et une grande histoire qui mêle aussi bien l'intime, l'ethnographie, l'architecture que la sociologie.
A Land, une variation cinématographique de la photographie comme des fragments d'une vie repensée depuis la fenêtre d'un train en marche. Les images se croisent et se font signe, on passe de la boutique du brocanteur au laboratoire de l'archéologue, de l'exploration du réel à celle de l'imaginaire, et du passé à l'avenir.
Comme je me suis promené, comme j'ai vadrouillé ici et là, je serais content que le lecteur-visiteur chemine aussi dans cette série comme dans sa cartographie personnelle où ses souvenirs et ses expériences y trouveraient un écho.

Where the intimate rubs shoulders with the real, the very near rubs shoulders with the distant, the known mingles with the unknown.
A Land, a series that relates my search for an acceptable place, a place to live, a place that I would recognize as mine. From a fantasy country, from an ideal place, from my ideal place.
A set of micro-fictions, pieces of scattered puzzles to reconstitute a geographical map and a great story that mixes intimacy, ethnography, architecture as well as sociology.
A Land, a cinematic variation of photography like fragments of a life reimagined from the window of a moving train. The images intersect and signal to each other, we go from the second-hand shop to the laboratory of the archaeologist, from the exploration of the real to that of the imaginary, and from the past to the future.
As I walked, as I wandered here and there, I would be happy that the reader-visitor also walks in this series as in his personal cartography where his memories and his experiences would find an echo there.
